Would you like to come to work with us next week?
Noa Kageyama and I are hosting a coworking carnival – a week of focused, shared work time for only $40.
What is coworking? Sometimes referred to as body doubling or group focus time, coworking is when we all get together and work on our individual projects in real-time.
Every day next week (from the 12th to the 16th) we'll open up Zoom for three full work sessions.
We check in, set intentions, and get things done. It’s a simple structure that creates gentle and fun accountability and makes space for you to move your important tasks forward.
So if you want to flow into 2026 , break through inertia, or just ignore geopolitics for a while, we hope you'll join us.
When Time Flies By and Work Gets Done!
If you thrive while body doubling, time boxing, using focused containers, working in bursts, deep dives or intentional immersion… this is the environment for you.
We'll spend up to five structured, supportive days together where you can rid yourself of distractions, get unstuck and check things off your to-do list… all while having some fun with me, Noa, and the other participants- your new best friends.
How can you use the sessions?
let me count the ways
There's all kinds of things you can do with these coworking sessions:
- An immersive week on one project.
Some people use the sessions as a total focus window — one intensive week dedicated to moving a single project forward in a major way. Authors draft chapters, content creators batch weeks of material, and others finally tackle the kind of work that benefits from sustained “monk mode”. With up to 15 sessions to drop into, it’s a rare chance to give one important thing the attention it needs.
- Torch a to-do list.
Others arrive with no single “big” project, just each day’s to-do list… emails to send, forms to fill out, laundry to fold. They show up, get a little accountability, and work through what’s on their plate inside a pre-boxed amount of time. The structure helps them actually finish instead of letting those tasks drift.
- Following the daily themes.
Each day of the carnival has an optional theme, things like “Inbox Day” or “Decluttering Day.” If you’re feeling stuck or not sure where to start, these themes can give you direction. They’re especially helpful if you’ve been off, away, or in a holding pattern for a while, and just need to start doing things again.
- Self-care time.
Not all devotion looks like spreadsheets. Some people use their sessions to take a proper shower, dedicate space to personal projects or crafts, or read a book. Others use the “I have a class with Naomi” excuse to shut the door and have uninterrupted time to themselves. If you have to use a class with me to get your father to stop texting you EIGHT TIMES AN HOUR IN ALL CAPS? We're here for you.
What coworking is like
Wondering what the energy of coworking sessions is like?
"The value of a coworking space is that it puts you in the 'time to work' mentality."
“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success.” - Henry Ford
"Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.” - Amy Poehler
"The bridges we build in virtual spaces often turn out to be stronger than walls in physical offices"
SCHEDULE
From Monday, January 12 through Friday, January 16, we'll hold one-hour coworking sessions at these times (in US EST TIme)
9 am
12 pm
4 pm
Monday through Friday, Jan 12-16.
You do not have to attend all sessions! Come for one, come for some… whatever works for you.
People sharing online coworking experiences often highlight overcoming isolation, finding community, boosting productivity, and the need for intentional connection.
If even one drop-in could get something sticky, heavy or hard off your plate, you spent your $40 well.

F.A.Q.
- What if I can’t make all the calls?
Nobody but will make all the calls. That would be insanity. Noa and I will be the insane ones and show up every time (alternating). You show up when it works for your schedule. Even one good session can give you your momentum back.
- Do I have to be on video during all the sessions?
God, no. We’ve had people call in for these things from public swimming pools.
- Can I use the time for non-work tasks?
Yup! Many people do. People in other cohorts use the evening ones for having a cocktail and planning the next day. People use them for laundry a lot. Also starting thorny craft projects. (Knitters casting on, we see you and we love you.)
- What exactly happens during a coworking call?
They’re fun and fast. We meet at the hour mark. We chat for five minutes, and everybody declares what they’re going to do. Kris puts a cat up on the screen, and we go to work! 50 minutes later, we come back and log our wins, commiserate about the sticky bits, and celebrate our triumphs for five minutes. And you’re on with your day at the top of the hour.
- Do I have to come to the same time slot every day?
No way. Drop in whenever you like.
- Do I have to talk or share my progress with the group?
Nope. Lurkers are welcome, always.
- I’ve never done body doubling before — will it work for me?
I can’t say for sure, but I can say I’ve never seen it fail. Sometimes we get a ton done. Sometimes just a little. But we always get more done, and have more fun, than we would have by ourselves.
